Can you apply to Manitoba Skilled Worker Overseas?

An eligibility checker for the MPNP Skilled Worker Overseas (SWO) pathway, built to Manitoba's official 100-point assessment grid. It checks the two things that actually gate eligibility: a required connection to Manitoba, and the 60-point minimum.

Eligibility is not selection. Meeting the connection requirement and scoring 60+ lets you submit an Expression of Interest. It does not mean you will be invited. Manitoba ranks everyone in the EOI pool on a separate 1,000-point system and invites only the highest scorers in periodic draws. Treat this as the entry gate, not a prediction of nomination.

What counts as a close relative (+20): a Canadian citizen or PR who has lived in Manitoba for at least one year and is related to you or your spouse as a sibling, niece/nephew, aunt/uncle, first cousin, parent, or grandparent.

Important exceptions: children in Manitoba cannot sponsor their parents this way (that is federal parent/grandparent sponsorship). A spouse who is a citizen or PR does not count, and in fact makes you ineligible for the MPNP entirely. Anyone more distant (a friend, second cousin, or other in-law) is a "friend or distant relative" worth +10, not +20.
